In the vein of socio-political shenanigans perpetrated by such Cook County political greats as Roland Burris and Joseph Fosco I would like to offer my cover rendition of Winter Wonderland. For those who can’t hum along by memory, here’s Bing Crosby crooning along in merry melody. Enjoy.

Congress is in, are you listening?
All night long, sessions extending.
No end in sight,
Oh what a beautiful fight,
Passing legislation no one wants.
Gone away are the senses.
Here to stay is dementia.
Reid sings a stale song,
the jackass is wrong,
Passing lesgislation no one wants
From the Hill there comes down a mandate,
From the President Mister Change.
He’ll say “Do got the votes?”
We’ll say “No man!
But Nelson’ll take free Medicaid.”
Oh all night, they’ll conspire
While the economy’s on fire.
The plan’s been made,
To unravel free trade,
Passing lesiglation no one wants.
In the hallway Republicans are grumbling,
Wringing hands and shouting woe betide!
A shame their antics cost them elections.
Lesson learned? I’d certainly be surprised.
Bums they are, Congress willing,
To tax us all, it is chilling.
They’ll ruin the way for the U.S. of A.,
Passing legislation no one wants.

Awesome!
Mr. Roe,
You are too much. That was great!
Love your blog and believe that there is much to be learned here. I hope to be able to check back often and contribute when I believe I can.
This isn’t great at all! This is the melody to Walking in a Winter Wonderland NOT White Christmas. This is just the wrong song all together.
I forgive you people, but what the hell is going on here?
