Saying Goodbye To The King Of Pop

It is hard to say goodbye to someone you love. No, I never had the pleasure of meeting Michael Jackson, but I sure loved him. What Mr. Jackson brought to this planet only an angel could bring. The King of Pop transcended culture like no other, and, like the King of the Jews, he was persecuted by a society that he sought to help.

Oprah and Barack Obama might not be who they are today if it were not for what Michael Jackson did. His music touched the world in a way that we will probably never see again, not in our lifetime. His music brought everyone together. I am especially grateful to have lived during most of Mr. Jackson’s lifetime. I remember 25 years ago my father was practicing The Moonwalk. For those of you too young or too old to remember, The Moonwalk was a sleek dance move that Michael Jackson invented in the early 1980s. If you knew my father you would agree that, for him to be mimicking Michael Jackson’s dance moves, the iconic status of this musician is surely secured.

Mr. Jackson was one of the greatest artists this world has ever witnessed. He lived an unorthodox lifestyle and he earned that right to do as he pleased. He never hurt anyone, all he did was help.

  1. joe i disagree, although he was known to be very generous to many charities we cannot overlook his personal behavior. check out andrew breitbart’s “a monster of our own making is dead and im mildly sad” @ big hollywood. this articles details the fact that he kept a gay porn producer as his personal videographer at his ranch. this conduct should not be marginalized regardless of status in society. i would also argue if he had been white (thinking of jerry lewis, the singer that carried on with his young cousin) the media would have deemed him the creep he was. finally when farrah fawcett reached heaven she was granted one wish, she wished that all the children of the world could be safe… 90 minutes later the king of pop was gone!

    Dear R White,
I will go as far to say that a profession involving ‘gay porn’ is highly controversial, however, it is not against the law. In addition, I believe that by mentioning the word ‘gay’ in the same breath as mentioning the name Michael Jackson, you are possibly creating an allusion that Michael Jackson might have been ‘gay’. Therefore, you are inappropriately giving credence to the false allegations that Mr. Jackson once faced. I do not believe that you are being fair. As to your closing statement, which appears to be a well thought out joke, it is not a nice thing to say, especially about two wonderful people that recently lost their lives. In fact, I would bet that if Farrah Fawcett could respond, she would ask you not to use her name in such a mean spirited way ever again.
    Thank you for your time.

  3. I was not implying MJ was gay I was implying he may have molested children and simply restating what was breitbart article included.(have you read the article?) I feel it is exremely innapropiate to have an individual in porn business around children. (for charity many sick children did visit his ranch) Finally I highly doubt you can attest to fawcett’s wishes.

    Dear Ron,
I read the article by Breitbart. And, I think that both of you are missing that its all very harmless. Someone that works in the ‘adult film’ industry should not be incorrectly deemed a ‘pedophile’. In fact, the two categories are the polar opposite of each other. What is important is whether Michael Jackson’s video specialist is a sex offender (I looked up his name and confirmed that he is not).
As to whether or not I attest to Fawcett’s wishes, lets be real, that is merely a bad joke.
    Thank you for your time.

  5. Joe would you at least concede for MJ to have this porn producer around other people’s children is wrong! As I am sure the parents weren’t told your kids are getting a chance to go to neverland and by the way a porn producer is acting as MJs personal videographer. People say MJ was misunderstood but he was just creepy.
