KTF Media Group Celebrates One Year On The Internet

“I grew up in area where kids were raised to understand that the Outfit was something to respect. I can name a number of judges and other politicians that I know that respect the Outfit today. Take former Judge Joe Casciato for instance. Here is a guy that goes on trips with gangsters, and has for many years. I actually met him through a gangster. I am not proud of it; I just want to be honest. I knew a number of gangsters when I was younger. I socialized with them because it seemed interesting. I look back, shaking my head, asking myself, ‘What was I thinking?’ I am fortunate that I never engaged in their illicit business practices.”

“Joe’s the kind of guy who’s willing to ask some tough questions, and he’s not afraid to print the answers, “commented Mr. Sharp. “My end is more technical, and so are my articles, so I do not tend to get the sort of stories Joe does. I am continually impressed by the caliber of his work, though, and his attention to detail is impressive.”

Speaking of caliber of work, there are several other contributors to KTF’s literary legacy, though none as famous as Conrad Black, Baron of Crossharbour. Mr. Fosco recounted to me his chance meeting with the legendary author. “It is strange to recount this today, as the place Conrad and I met, Holy Name Cathedral, has been all over the news. Early this morning a three alarm fire caused a great deal of damage to that hallowed structure. It is an absolute shame because this will only extend the time the Cathedral will be closed. It was already shut down for several months following the collapse of the ceiling last year. Soon I’ll be sitting down with Bishop Lyne to do an article with him about this heartbreaking turn of events. Perhaps then we’ll all have a better idea of how we can help Holy Name recover from this terrible tragedy.

“But I digress. Conrad and I quickly realized that our paths had crossed for a reason. About a week later I brought Conrad with me to a small dinner with the Cardinal. It was amazing to have had the honor to introduce Conrad to Bishop Lyne and Cardinal George. Listening to Conrad and the Cardinal discuss religion was one of the most enlightening experiences that I can recall. In the weeks afterward Conrad and I discussed his problems as well as my problems. Behind that traditional and seemingly impenetrable title Lord of Crossharbour is a man of great warmth and understanding, though I doubt this is a shock to anyone who knows Conrad personally. He totally sympathized with me regarding the Giacchino and Cerone episodes I shared with him. Conrad and I have become good friends and through Christ our union began – literally! I pray that justice one day prevails and he is set free sooner rather than later.

  1. Why didn’t Mr. Fosco show up for his trial against Dr. Giacchino? 08 L 002162. Cook County Law Division. Case dismissed on the eve of trial for want of prosecution. It is a valid question that deserves an answer. Mr. Fosco made a lot of noise about the Doctor in his columns. But when it came time to prove it, he was nowhere to be found. What’s up with that Mr. Fosco?

    • Dear Mike,

Thank you for your concern. I am not sure about which of the two suits in state court you are referring to that I filed against Giacchino. One was for malpractice and the other was for privacy breaches. I voluntarily dismissed the malpractice suit because it would have cost me over one hundred thousand in legal expenses (I was Pro Se, but needed to hire a lawyer that specialized in med mal). However, as to the privacy suit, I was unable to adequately respond to Giacchino’s motion for summary judgment because on one of the days that I had court, ‘someone’ threatened me that if I went to court I would be killed (of course this is a matter of record). Instead of going to court that day, I worked with the authorities. Unfortunately, I am unable to go into details as the judicial matters between Giacchino and I are not over, despite how things may appear right now. Again, thank you for your concern.

In the interest of fairness, one should ask why Giacchino voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against me for defamation (I know why, because everything that I have written about him is true). No one threatened him before his court date.

      • Dear Mr. Fosco

I was referring to the intentional tort suit you filed for $2.6 million dollars under docket no. 08 L 002162. Which I clearly cited in my post. So I’m not sure what you are unsure about.

I guess your position would be that you abandoned your law suit because you were threatened. Tough to dispute. Also tough to believe. It has the feel of a paranoid fantasy. If you are telling the truth. Good luck to you.

        • Dear Mike,
Right, one case number but several counts. The med mal portion was voluntarily dismissed. The privacy portion was dismissed because of the threat that had been made; however, the identity of the perpetrator remained under investigation. Evidence of the threat is irrefutable and was verified. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to go into details at this time. Yes, of course I am telling the truth. Thank you for the ‘good luck’ wish.
