Former Congressman, Governor and now former Wall Street Whiz Kid Jon Corzine. If the best he can do is ‘I don’t know where that 1.2 billion went’ he will soon be able to add former inmate 32765-113 of Butner FMC to that impressive list.
The funny part is that, from what I’ve been reading about MF Global, it may be that Corzine actually did not know anything about how the company was run, because he didn’t understand how the markets (in this whiz-bang future world full of computer ‘n such) work anymore. So he is left with the ego-busting admission that he was simply an incompetent figurehead at the company, or the damning confession that he knew what was happening and let it go down anyway. I wonder which way he will go…
