Oprah And The Governor Palin Debacle

Oprah, knock off the nonsense! Welcoming Governor Palin on your show after the election is nothing but a ploy, is it not? As an Obama supporter, you can certainly interview Governor Palin objectively, or agree the interview should not involve the election and simply focus on Governor Palin the ‘achiever’. Governor Palin’s story is an American dream come true, which is why you should be proud to book her immediately.

We must now ask ourselves, what has driven Oprah Winfrey to turn against the one thing that has made her show a smashing success for so long, namely the promotion of successful women? Why would Oprah so desperately protect Obama from potential competition brought on through the exposure Governor Palin would gain from the Oprah Show? If Obama is truly the better candidate, what real harm can it bring to honor Governor Palin on the Oprah Show? Airing Governor Palin would further allow the American people to learn more about her as a person.

Do you suppose what we are really witnessing here is simply an egotistical billionaire struggling with her latest pet project, ‘To make someone of African-American lineage a United States President’? Is this what is really happening? If so, race should not have anything to do with who the next President of the United States should be; his or her qualifications should be the real focus.

I will end by sharing what my good friend Conrad Black has to say on the Presidential Race:

“Despite all his operatics, Obama cannot open up a real lead on McCain, and I don’t see how he deals with the facts that there is no recession: Iraq is a howling success and everything he has said about it is mistaken; he wants to raise the top tax rate to 64 percent; and he sat for 20 years in a church, nodding happily at the ravings of Father Jeremiah.”

I wish to add that Oprah was a member of Father Jeremiah’s church.

  1. Looking back Oprahs vocal support of Obama did hurt her ratings although she was still the number one rated talkshow and when she finally had Palin on in fall 09 she had some of her highest ratings ever.

Oprah was a member of the same church however after hearing the ravings of Jeremiah she quickly chose to leave the church.

With Obamas approval rating after 1 year being the same as what Bush’s was after 8 years and two wars-

America is waking up and realizing what a huge mistake the Obama adminstration is.

And I believe unlike Clinton who realized that hard left policies would not work hence he became moderate – Obama is an idealogue who is willing to sacrifice a second term in order to transform America into an oligarchy.

2010 will be a rough year for liberals!
